Line-up
Turn Back, the band's third studio album it was an attempt to return to the classic sextet structure and it was a more consistent, more powerful album with a sharper edge. The edgier sound of Turn Back was a reflection of the development of the group. The drummer Bobby Kimball's increasing ability to play was evident in the vocal delivery of Joseph Williams, who had grown more confident and mature.
