The Nautilus's rear seat is just a vast cargo area that swallowed 12 carry-on suitcases inside our testing—two more than the XT5 and three more compared to the RX350. Ford's latest Sync 4 infotainment software is user friendly and offers more modern features, Lincoln Nautilus including over-the-air update capability. Dropping a corner seat to its flat position—a process that's made simple as a result of handy levers in the cargo area that flop the seatbacks down—creates room for approximately 27 suitcases, which matches the more expensive, three-row Volvo XC90.

In addition to the 12.3-inch digital gauge display, all Nautilus models come with a large 13.2-inch infotainment touchscreen. Especially attracting buyers with kids, Lincoln provides an optional rear-seat entertainment system on all trim levels. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, an 11-speaker audio system, and a 4G LTE-powered onboard Wi-Fi hotspot are all standard; navigation and an instant smartphone charging pad are standard on Reserve and Black Label models.

Nearly everything within our Reserve and Black Label test vehicles was wrapped in soft leather, and the headliner of Black Label models is covered in faux suede. Inside, the cabin of the Nautilus is completed in nice materials; layers of more luxurious leathers, metals, and woods become available as climb up through the lineup. Whilst the vehicles are similarly spacious, the cabin of the Lincoln offers more style and substance in the proper execution of optional massaging seats with 22-way adjustability, a standard digital gauge cluster, and a push-button gear selector.

Although the Nautilus shares a platform with the Ford Edge, buyers likely wouldn't guess that. The '90s saw the debut of the Mark VIII, which featured a four-cam V8 and air suspension. Bedecked in chrome and fitted with plush leather and luxury features galore, the massive truck was a breakout hit. By this time around, sport-utility vehicles had emerged as a section to be reckoned with, and Lincoln made probably the most of this trend by launching its very first SUV, the Ford Expedition-based Navigator, in 1998.

Lincoln also distinguished itself over these years as the initial American car line to supply antilock braking. The Mark series continued to evolve and shrunk down considerably with the debut of the Mark VI. In 1981, Lincoln Nautilus released its now iconic Town Car, the full-size luxury sedan that has since served since the marque's flagship. Though its moniker had been used to designate trim levels in previous years, 1981 was the season in that your Town Car arrived to existence as an individual model.

That velvet-lined cruiser was followed mid-decade by the Mark VII, that was more European in nature and could even be powered by a BMW turbodiesel engine.  The brand new millennium marked the debut of the Euro-flavored, midsize LS sedan that shared much of its platform with Jaguar's S-Type sedan. More recently, Lincoln has dropped the long-lived Town Car and updated its lineup with the MKS and MKZ sedans as well as the MKX crossover SUV assured of attracting a new generation of consumers.(Image: [[https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/9/96/Lincoln_MKX_II_China_2016-04-18.jpg/1200px-Lincoln_MKX_II_China_2016-04-18.jpg|https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/9/96/Lincoln_MKX_II_China_2016-04-18.jpg/1200px-Lincoln_MKX_II_China_2016-04-18.jpg)]]
