Key fobs can stop working due to a variety of reasons, such as the battery being dead, worn-out buttons signal interference or water damage. Here are some helpful tips on how you can get your Kia Sportage replacement key back to working.

How do you replace a remote key or smartkey

No matter if your kia keys replacement is equipped with an intelligent key, remote key push to start key or a regular non-transponder metal key, the battery in these keys will eventually need replacing. This is especially in the event that your car displays a message that the smart key or remote has a low battery.

This is a relatively simple procedure. To replace the battery in the keyfob take out your mechanical key from the slot at the back of the fob. Then, pry the cover off.
