It has a simple, one-step foot brake that's flip-flop user-friendly.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned its reputation as the ultimate stroller that is light, ideal for urban dwellers as well jet-setters. This is thanks to its super nimble maneuverability and fold-down design that can be incorporated into the overhead luggage of an aeroplane. This latest version features independent suspension on all 4 wheels constructed of Hytrel elastomer. This allows it to 'perfectly traverse all terrains and types'.

The bent fabric bassinet, base YOYO2 and 6months of colour pack come together to create a chic pushchair that has a soft elegant design. The frame's weight is less than a kilogram and is so light you can lift it from the box with just one hand.

The hood, for example is able to snap onto the YOYO2 in a calm way. It is machine washable at 30 degrees which helps avoid stains caused by smushed carrot puffs and rice cakes. It can be used as a pram from birth with the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted into a stroller from 6 months old by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great option for parents looking for an adaptable stroller wagon. It can be converted from a stroller into a wagon just by flipping the handle, so parents can select the option they want to use on their adventure. The wagon is able to accommodate one or two children from 6 months to five years old. It comes with a large storage basket that can accommodate all your necessities when you are on the move.

The Xplore has dual canopies which can rotate from front to back, offering adequate sun protection for the entire family. It also has a footwell that's not as large or deep as some wagons, so it may not be ideal for longer trips or napping.

The frame on the Xplore feels solid and sturdy, although it does not have as much flex as some of the other wagons we tried. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold and does not lock tightly after folding. It is easy to move however, and fits through doors with a width of 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great option for parents looking for a second single convertible stroller that's priced reasonably. It scored highly in our Strollers and Multiples Test for weight and fold dimensions, meaning it is best lightweight single stroller, compact when folded, and easy to lift and store in a trunk of a car. It also features a multi-position reclined seat and cup holders for the parent. Other features of note include 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels and two large hanging storage bags.

In our push and turn test it performed better than many of the other cheap strollers we tested, but it's still not the most maneuverable on uneven terrain or through doorways that are narrow. Its sunshades were among the smallest strollers we test. They only cover the top, and do not have peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have much larger canopy sizes.

The Delta took us just over three minutes to assemble with an average manual and all of the components required tools. It is missing certain features we consider essential in a double stroller. These include an extra-large basket, reclining seats and leg rests that can be adjusted.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is the latest model in Maxi-Cosi's range of pushchairs and is described as an urban travel system. It is designed to accommodate infants from birth until approximately 3.5 years old, and can be converted into a seat and carrycot by just a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It comes with a lightweight Mico 30 infant seat, a stay-in-car-base and a reversible car seat.

The seat can be reclined using one hand, and the big shopping basket makes it simple for parents to help their child in and out. The narrow pushchair sailed through all day bumps and doorways with ease.

The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward-facing position or rotate. This is useful in rough terrain. While walking on the stony path, we let them swivel and it performed well, though it did appear more bumpy than the other models in our test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is a household name for their three-wheeled, all-terrain pushchairs for jogging, but they also have a wide assortment of strollers with four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most loved models. It is easy to use and folds down small enough to fit into the car boot, even with the carrycot attached.

It weighs more than other strollers we've tried, but because it has rubber composite wheels, it feels sturdy and well-made. It maneuvers expertly across different types of terrain and it's easy to carry even with two children and a shopping bag.

Both the seat and carrycot have hoods that are able to be lower to reveal a UV50and sun canopy extension. They are strong and waterproof, in contrast to other hoods for prams that can be blown back into toddlers faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, but it comes with a large basket deep enough to accommodate a changing bag or plenty of food. You can also use it with a Baby Jogger car seat for infants who weigh 20 pounds or less (car seat and adapters are available separately). If you are looking for a single stroller that can be taken on the road, then the City Tour 2 is an ideal choice.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a stroller that won the hearts of a lot of parents when it first appeared. It's a frame made of aluminum that will be with you throughout your baby's initial days and beyond. It has many standout features, including the capacity of the seat to flip between parent and world facing, a large UPF50+ canopy, a flip-out eyeshade, and an adjustable handlebar.

The chassis has an integrated suspension system that helps reduce the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are made of tough foam and reduce punctures. Our tester found it smooth to push and was able to manoeuvre it through narrow streets without difficulty.

It locks automatically and folds in just four steps. It is also able to stand and be carried by trolley for easier transport in the trunk of your car or down the stairs at home. The travel system is also available with the option to add an additional car seat or carrycot using the adaptors that are included. The brakes are only one action and are color coded. They also can be used with flip-flops.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget-friendly pushchair is simple to operate and features an excellent dual suspension. It can be folded by one hand and comes with a handy carrying strap. It is also lightweight and robust. The seat can be reclined into many positions and is equipped with a double breathable mattress that's suitable for babies from birth.

The canopy/seat comes with two extra-large fixed or flip out sun visors, both of which are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn’t ideal since it's not as silent as Velcro and could wake up napping babies.

The Duet is a angled stroller that can be used by twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and some carrycots. In twin mode seats, the seats can be set so that they face each one. They can also be positioned towards the parents. This can help to lessen sibling fights about who sits with mom and dad. It comes with a large gear tray, bottle holder, snack trays and a change mat. It also has an automated frame lock and a compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban glide 2 is a great jogger for parents that like to be active. It is one of the lightest strollers for running that you can purchase for your child. It also comes with great safety features, such as a 5-point safety harness and wrist safety strap. It also features an innovative twist hand brake that's different than the lever type found on competing models.

The seat is well-padded and has plenty of room to sit, but the depth of the seat is lower than other joggers that we've tested (it's about 10“). The storage bin is covered with a zipper that keeps things safe. It can hold up to 10 lbs, which is enough for the majority of diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 isn't compatible with infant car seats or bassinets as of yet, but you can use it from day one with the purchase of adapters to most seats from brands like BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It folds down compactly and takes 5-10 minutes to assemble with no tools. The instruction manual is easy to comprehend and contains multiple languages.
